Home Assignment

I know I don’t have many entrees in this blog. And I realize that I’ve missed documenting many experiences and blessings that happen almost daily. I am sad about that but a blog is such a strange thing. It opens you up to an audience that a personal journal never would. I will try to be more faithful because I also realize that many of you have sacrificed greatly so that Ken and I (and our kids in the past) can stay here. Please know that we have been blessed by all of you. We ARE very grateful, even though we should say it more.

Another Art Chapel

Please pray. We have another art chapel on March 15th. The theme this year is "Art as Worship". Eight of our students are performing dance, spoken word, guitar, visual art, poetry and they are talking about how the gift of the arts is a way they can worship the Creator.

Please pray for me. I am suppose to open up the chapel but I am a complete blank on ideas at this time. Please pray that I will be able to hear from God what I am suppose to share.

Thanks.

Art Ministry

The third annual trip has just finished. The preparations actually start in September when my students start working on a piece for the art auction held during our school music concerts in December. It always amazes me how we raise the right amount of money to go on these trips and to be able to leave some money there for much needed things.

To Blog or not to Blog

It’s been awhile since I wrote on this blog. For some reason I started struggling with blogging. I have a hard time not writing vulnerably; not writing with all the emotions and feelings about my life, my day, and my past hour. One of my blog readers was concerned that I was sharing too much and it began to concern me, too.
